The temple grounds are open to everyone. Early morning and the hour before closing are the quietest times to visit.
Opening hours may change on days with ceremonies or events. Please call ahead if you would like to confirm.
Temple Seals & Treasure Hall
Goshuin (Temple Seals)
Goshuin are offered as pre-written sheets,
generally between 9:00 and 16:00.
We recommend calling ahead, as staff may occasionally be away.
Treasure Hall
The hall houses precious historical documents, including the vermilion-seal
letter granted by Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Sanmon Gate
The stately gate at the entrance, framed by cherry blossoms in spring.
Main Hall
A nationally registered cultural property, enshrining Amida Buddha.
Shoin Study
A nationally registered cultural property of refined construction.
Bell Tower
Where the New Year's Eve bell rings out 108 times.
Treasure Hall
Displaying historic documents, including Ieyasu's vermilion-seal letter.
Garden
A Japanese garden that shows its beauty in every season.
Ceremonies Open to All
Daily morning services from 6:00, the Issho-no-Kai gathering on the second Saturday of each month, and the Fudo-son service on the 28th are all open to visitors.
